Happy New Year!

Here we ago again. Another New Year and fingers crossed a much better one is on the way for everyone.

How was everyones Christmas and New Year? I hope you all stayed well, healthy and were able to see family this year. We enjoyed a quiet day, just the four of us. It was lovely after the crazy of the previous couple weeks. We then spent the rest of our Christmas break decorating - honestly pleased to get back into the office!

Unfortunately, I didn't give myself anytime to craft. I was too focused on the decorating. I do have lots of plans or this year though. I really want to try Macrame, as well as finish a few projects. I keep having videos pop on my social media feeds and it looks lovely. Have you tried it? Do you have any tips or beginner videos to share? I'll let you know how I get on. I've also decided I must get organised much earlier with making my Christmas cards this year. I haven't managed it for the last couple of years, time just gets away from me, but I've always found it so relaxing and I've missed it. Maybe if I start in the summer, there's a chance I'll get them finished in time. Tell me I'm not alone in this lol!

I may not have crafted, but I did find time to build some of my Lego sets. I've really got into this again. It started over the first lockdown and I've not stopped. I am a huge Harry Potter fan so I am slowly building these sets and loving every minute. Not sure where they will all go when I've finished.

This year is already looking like a busy one for us. We are going to be introducing some new furniture through the year, increasing ranges and some completely new pieces. I love the design and prototype stage. I get to bring the units home and try different box and tray combinations while filling them with my craft goodies. It's exciting seeing it all come together. I will try and get a couple of sneak peeks when hubby is not looking :)

What are your creative plans for the upcoming months? Any new skills you want to try?

What's everyone's feeling about visiting Craft Shows this year? We did do a couple at the end of last year and noticed such a change. It was fabulous to see everyone again, but the atmosphere wasn't the same. We've not yet decided which ones we'll do this year. As soon as we've got them booked, the dates will be on the websites. I'm trying to think of someway you can interact with the units without visiting the shows at the moment. Once I've got something, I'll let you know.

I'm hoping to have my new craft space ready in the next few weeks. I'm so excited to have everything in one place and not all over the house. It will certainly help with being able to find things and craft better - Can't wait!

Better get back to the painting. Talk to you all soon

Yours in crafting

Jo x
